CID (Customer Identity) - it's a kind of security, protecting your phone against unauthorized access. If the CID number is high, it is difficult to modify your phone with cheap or free programs. There are two kinds of CID. The first one is OTP cid (One Time Programmable memory) and you cannot change it. The second one - Phone CID - is usually the same or higher than OTP CID and you can change it. It is important to flash your phone with firmware designed for your Phone CID (on platforms older than A2). On DB2012 and DB2020 platforms Phone CID may be increased, when updating firmware via Sony Ericsson Update Service. You can check your phone CID using for Example SeTool or A2 uploader software. And you can upgrade your CID with setool. Sometimes we downgrade the phones CID to Unlock the Network locked phones.

What is db2000, db2010, db2020, pnx5230, db3150, db3210?

That is chipsets of new SEMC phones. db2000 (otherwise called marita "full") is inside next phones: z1010/v800/z800/w900/lg3g/sharp3g db2010 (otherwise called "marita compact") is inside j300/k300/k500/k700/s700/k750 phones. db2020 (otherwise called "marika") is inside k610/k550/k790/k800/w850/w880/z610/well, almost in all new phones. pnx5230 is inside z310,w350,w380,z555 phones. db3150 is A2 generation, phones like k850,w910,w890,z750,etc have it db3210 is next revision of A2 platform and there is not yet retail phones released with that ASIC. db3350 is even future platform from SEMC.

N73 Battery low when trying to make calls/ Battery Low Solution

Not only Nokia N73 Some of Nokia phones get this trouble. Even though the battery has been fully charged when calling suddenly it says battery low and automatically shut down. This could be due to a short circuit of GSM power amplifier also called PA. This kind of short circuits may not be appear when you check the phone in offline mode using a power supply.

How ever there may be a other reason to this issue. If the battery pins are not contacted properly or battery is week phone can get this trouble. Therefore it recommended check the battery and the battery connector and perform a full flash to ensure that there is no any software issue.   

Samsung Android Official Firmwares

Under normal state we do not have to use flash box to flash a Android device. This is because the boot loader of the android device can communicate via USB. Therefore if the boot loader is fine you could flash your Android device without using a special hardware like a Flash Box.

If yor device is a SAMSUNG you can download your official Android  ROMs from http://www.sammobile.com. Ones the ROM  has been downloaded, you could use Odin a software that use to flash SAMSUNG android devices to flash your Android device. 

Navifirm was Closed

Navifirm is a software that used to be downloading Nokia Firmware for the Nokia Official firmware storage. Navifirm is a third party tool not a official tool provided by Nokia. Even the beta versions of Nokia firmwares could be downloaded using this Navifirm. Although Navifirm is a third party tool. it used the Nokia official firmware storage to download the firmwares.

There was rumors since December in 2012 that Nokia is going to denied all unauthorized accesses to official firmware storage. Rumors said the it will be opened till end of the January in 2013. But even after the January Navifirm which is a third party unauthorized accessing tool, could access the firmware storage.

However finaly Nokia did that bad thing. Unauthorized sever access has been denied by Nokia. Therefore Nivifirm is no longer useful. Some says this is a Microsoft decision.
